What went wrong?
For starters I had no idea of my purpose. Why was I actually on Instagram? I had no real connection with my followers. Maybe if I had more of a community, they'd care. And worst of all, I took on a sponsored post about something I didn't even care about.
I went back to the drawing board. I knew that if I could connect with my audience I could monetize. What I didn't know is that my life would change forever.
I took courses at work for growing followers and engagement for Instagram accounts. I read dozens of books. I slowly started to grow my Instagram.
And I started to land brand deals. And not from random companies! But places like Target and Airbnb!
I was already managing social media for companies who knew Instagram could grow their business and brands. If it could work for them, could it work for me?
